How to play

Each day brings nine anagrams, chosen by hand. Rearrange the letters to make a word, using every letter before the 30 seconds run out. The clock resets for each new word, so you always start with the same amount of time. Your progress is saved as you go, and previous puzzles are available in the archive.

• Use all the letters to make a word.
• You have 30 seconds for each anagram.
• You can shuffle the letters once per word. On a keyboard, press Space or Shift.
• Unused time does not carry over to the next word.

Finding all nine

The aim is to solve all nine anagrams. There are no points or star ratings to keep track of. Even a short, familiar word can be surprisingly hard to spot when the letters are in the wrong order, especially if you keep reading them the same way.

Look for smaller pieces of a word: a familiar ending, a pair of consonants, or a likely place for a vowel. If you keep returning to a combination that leads nowhere, try your shuffle.
