Zanagrams
Find the words hidden among sixteen connected letters. Each path you clear makes the next a little easier to see.
How to play
Every Zanagrams board is built by hand. Trace a path along the bridges between letters to spell a word, or type it once you have spotted it. Words must be at least four letters long. To finish the puzzle, find all the required words; any extra words you discover along the way are a bonus.
Some letters belong to more than one required word. They stay on the board until you have found every word that needs them. As you solve the puzzle, completed paths disappear and the remaining words become easier to pick out. There is a new board each day, with earlier puzzles in the archive.
Where to start
Try looking at an unusual letter such as J, Q, X or Z and following its connections. It may give you fewer possibilities to consider than a common letter such as E or S. A short word near the edge is another good starting point: clearing it can make a busy part of the board much easier to read.
Read The first path for more on choosing an opening word, or How to play Zanagrams for the full guide. For a larger board, try the twenty-five letters of Zanagrams Master. Word Snake offers a different challenge, with letter clues to help you find each hidden word.
Questions
What is Zanagrams?
Zanagrams is a free daily word puzzle with sixteen letters joined by bridges. Follow the bridges to spell the hidden words and clear their paths from the board.
Do I need to find every possible word?
You only need to find the required words to complete the puzzle. Other words you can make along the bridges count as extra finds, but they are optional.
Is there a time limit?
No. The timer counts up and can be shown or hidden in settings. It pauses when you leave, and your progress is saved. Each extra word takes ten seconds off your time.
