Sunflowers

Plant a garden using the numbers as your guide. Each daily puzzle can be solved with logic, one square at a time.

How to play

Each number tells you how many sunflowers belong in the neighbouring squares. Use those clues to plant every flower and mark every empty space. If you have played Minesweeper, the counting will feel familiar. Here, you are working out where the flowers go to complete the garden.

Every puzzle is designed to be solved without guessing. Start with zeros, then look for numbers that leave only one way to fill the squares around them. If you are new to the game, the first-visit walkthrough will help you get started. There is a new garden each day, and you can revisit earlier puzzles in the archive.

Following the clues

For each number, count the flowers you have already placed and the neighbouring squares still undecided. If every remaining square is needed to reach the total, fill them all with flowers. If the total is already met, mark the rest empty. When neither applies, check a nearby clue before making your next move.

Without a guess explains how to build on these deductions. For the controls and the shortcut for marking empty squares around a completed number, read How to play Sunflowers. If you would like a tougher garden, Sunflowers Master adds a pencil tool for testing possibilities.

Is there a new garden every day?
